Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his announcement:

“We do not recognize this coup attempt against our country and nation! We do not accept this dagger against the will of our nation and our democracy. We stand against this unlawful uprising against the legitimately elected government.

We must stand against all coup attempts as the Turkish nation; we must defend our democracy. We stand with our government and nation as the Turkish business world. We stand with democracy.”
